Salary: £35,000

Hours: 05:30 – 17:30, 4 days on – 4 days off rota

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Telematics Technician / Auto Electrician to join our engineering team based on‑site at Luton Airport. You’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting telematics and GPS tracking systems across a wide range of airport vehicles and ground support equipment (GSE). This is a hands‑on and varied role where you’ll take ownership of installations, diagnose technical issues, and ensure all systems are operating reliably to support airside operations across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain vehicle telematics and GPS systems on airport and fleet equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and telematics‑related faults.
• Monitor system performance using telematics software.
• Carry out on‑site inspections and maintenance at Luton Airport and other UK locations.
• Maintain clear and accurate installation and service records.
• Work in compliance with airport and company safety standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in electrical, electronic, or telematics installation.
• Strong understanding of automotive wiring, GPS, and CAN bus systems.
• Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to work independently on‑site.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Experience with GSE or heavy plant equipment is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Level 3 in Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Principles.
• BTEC HNC or City & Guilds equivalent.
• Forklift licence (desirable).
