We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to provide short-term, daily personal care support for a single vulnerable adult in supported accommodation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting with personal hygiene, including washing and bathing
- Assisting with continence care, including changing pads
- Supporting oral hygiene (e.g., prompting and assisting with tooth brushing)
- Preparing simple microwave meals and supporting nutrition intake
- Prompting and reminding the individual to eat and drink regularly
- Maintaining a clean and safe living environment in relation to personal care needs
- Providing respectful, person-centred support that promotes dignity and independence
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care (or above)
- Experience delivering personal care in community or residential settings
- Ability to work with individuals with complex needs and fluctuating capacity
- Calm, patient, and compassionate approach
- Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
Additional information:
