Job Purpose
The Senior HSEQ Advisor will be responsible for the company’s HSEQ activities with regards to quality, environment and sustainability, wellbeing, and health and safety.

•working with HSEQ advisor under the management of Head of HSEQ
•promoting a company culture of care, passion and integrity
•ensuring competent HSE and quality support are provided to business areas
•giving assurance to the Head of HSEQ that all parts of the business are meeting the company’s internal HSEQ and external HSEQ requirements


Job Description
1.Collaboration with HSEQ advisor and support of Head of HSEQ
2.Site visit once per week on average over a month (not rigid):
•Site inspections
•Audits
•Contractor HSE meetings
3.Reviews of risk assessments and method statements – supporting department with creation and review of risk assessment and method statements:
•Contractor RAMS
•Staff RAMS
4.Lead the ISO 45001, 45003 and 14001 management systems – liaising with internal/external stakeholders, auditors and management of internal resource relevant to them
5.Lead on oversight of HSE resources and contractors
6.Development of wellbeing initiatives, and supporting related activities
7.CDM direction and support for projects – creating CDM strategy and approach for new and existing projects, and selection/provision of CDM resources
8.Handling of non-conformance and associated actions
9.Handling of change/decision requests.
10.Lead on development of main quality and business management system tool: my-compliance
11.HSEQ strategies, plans and supporting documents – creation of documentation
12.Review of business and project specific HSE targets and objectives
13.Contractor HSE audits and inspections – oversight and execution of all 2nd and 3rd party HSE audits of contractor and relevant supply chain
14.Corporate, Asset and Project HSEQ training


Skills

Essential
•Strong communication and influencing skills across senior management, contractors, auditors and project teams
•Confident in constructively challenging decisions, behaviours and HSEQ performance
•Able to work with a high degree of autonomy and exercise sound judgement
•Excellent problem solving skills with a track record of applying best practice and relevant methodologies
•Able to undertake operational wind farm site visits and complete required site safety training, including GWO where applicable.
•Proactive and collaborative, with the ability to coach and support others
•Strong written skills, including preparation of HSEQ reports and management system documentation


Knowledge and Experience Required

Essential
•5+ years' relevant HSE/HSEQ experience
•Proven HSEQ experience within energy, infrastructure, construction or operational environments
•Strong practical knowledge of CDM 2015
•Experience leading or maintaining ISO 45001, 45003 and 14001 management systems
•Experience leading contractor HSE audits, assurance and performance management
•Experience managing non conformances, corrective actions and HSEQ improvement activities
•Renewables experience, preferably onshore wind

Qualifications

Essential
•NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent recognised qualification

Desirable
•Graduate Member of IOSH (actively working towards Chartered Membership)
•Suitable qualification in environmental management e.g. IEMA qualification
•ISO auditing qualification
•Current GWO certification
•Current First Aid at Work / Emergency First Aid qualification
