HSE Advisor in Edinburgh

Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, our growing team are passionate about generating clean energy and supporting the UK and Europe’s net zero ambitions. Our current portfolio includes part or fully owned wind farm projects, each at different lifecycle stages.

Job Purpose: The HSE advisor supports the Corporate HSE Manager in all aspects of implementing the company HSE Management system across its sites. Focussing on day-to-day activities concerning the onshore wind farm sites, the adviser will also support matters relating to the corporate function and office. Time to be split between the sites and Edinburgh office.

Job Description:

• Site visit once per week on average:
• Site inspections
• Audits
• Contractor HSE meetings

• Reviews of risk assessments and method statements – supporting HSE manager with creation and review of risk assessment and method statements:
• Contractor RAMS
• Staff RAMS

• Supporting the Asset Management team in implementation of site safety management plans and environment management plans:
• Contractor HSE meetings
• Asset HSE registers
• Management of PPE inventory

• Corporate HSE tasks to support the HSE manager include:
• Collation of all HSE metrics and KPIs for reporting
• Production of safety moments, bulletins and other promotional material
• Creation of summary reports and analysis of all HSE data monthly and quarterly
• First Aid cover when in office
• Fire Marshall cover when in office
• Review of all observations submitted and allocation of actions
• Legionella testing in office
