Red Rock Partnership are delighted to be working with our prestigious client in Witham St Hughs who are looking for a Warehouse & Trade Counter Assistant to join their busy team.

About The Role:

This role offers a dynamic mix of customer service, sales, assembly and warehouse duties, working closely with the on-site Manager to ensure smooth daily operations. As a key part of the team, you'll spend approximately 40% of your time at the trade counter, assisting new and existing customers, delivering top-tier service, and identifying sales opportunities. You'll also handle assembly duties, stock control, order processing, and general warehouse duties.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday; 08:00 - 16:30

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 DOE

This is a permanent position.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Serve customers at the trade counter, offering expert advice and ensuring excellent service
  • Process sales orders, quotations, and customer inquiries efficiently
  • Use the company's system to locate stock, manage pricing, and process orders
  • Identify and source components for various projects
  • Assemble hydraulic hoses and advise customers on hydraulic solutions
  • Promote products and services to drive new business opportunities
  • Handle general administrative tasks
  • Provide occasional relief van driving as needed

About you:

  • A customer-focused, hands-on approach with confidence in serving at a trade counter
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in a trade or technical environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to proactively engage with customers and identify new sales opportunities
  • Knowledge of hydraulic hoses is beneficial but not essential
