Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:00pm - 10:00pm

Red Rock Consultants are working with a leading school, based in Battersea, who are looking to expand their Estates and Maintenance team. You will carry out a broad range of estates duties including event setups, porterage, minor maintenance, security cover, statutory compliance checks, and general site operations. You will also act as a key holder and support locking and alarm response procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Estates Department in preparing and setting up school events in line with the school calendar
  • Monitor and refill water dispensers across the site
  • Drive the school buses
  • Take part in daily locking-up procedures and act as a key holder
  • Be included on the emergency call-out rota for intruder and fire alarm activations
  • Assist with the maintenance and day-to-day operation of the school swimming pool
  • Carry out Health & Safety compliance duties, including emergency lighting tests, legionella temperature checks, and weekly fire alarm testing
  • Move, assemble, and dismantle furniture and equipment as required
  • Be willing to drive the school minibus for operational duties
  • Carry out minor maintenance tasks and support maintenance operatives when required
  • Undertake housekeeping duties such as litter picking, rubbish collection, and assisting with paper deliveries
  • Assist with porterage duties, including delivery of post and parcels
  • Manage recycling duties and contribute to maintaining a clean and safe site

Requirements:

The right candidate will be reliable, practical, and willing to learn, with a positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic. No prior estates or facilities experience is required, as full training will be provided; however, you must be comfortable with hands-on work and happy to take on a varied role. Due to the nature of the business, a full driving license is required. The successful candidate will also need to hold or be willing to undertake a DBS check.
