A well-established M&E contractor is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to develop a long-term career within the building services and construction industry. The successful candidate will support the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of commercial, industrial, and residential M&E projects, working alongside experienced estimators within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions for mechanical and electrical projects
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
  • Carry out quantity take-offs and cost analysis
  • Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Support senior estimators with pricing exercises and bid strategy development
  • Maintain accurate estimating records and project data
  • Liaise with internal departments, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Assist with the ongoing review of project costs and commercial information

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Motivated, proactive, and eager to learn within a fast-paced environment
