An established and growing Building Services and M&E contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their Southwest team. Operating across commercial, educational, industrial, and public-sector environments, the business delivers high-quality heating, mechanical, and electrical services throughout Bristol, the Southwest, and Wales.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas systems across a variety of commercial sites including offices, retail units, industrial facilities, schools, and public buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Service, maintain, and repair commercial gas appliances and heating systems
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs safely and efficiently
- Complete commercial gas installations and system upgrades
- Ensure all work complies with current Gas Safety regulations and industry standards
- Accurately complete job reports, certification, and service documentation
- Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and site personnel
- Maintain high standards of health & safety on all projects
- Deliver reactive and planned maintenance works across commercial environments
- Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Good understanding of commercial heating systems and plant
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications including CODNCO1 / COCN1 or equivalent
- Gas Safe Registered
- Additional HVAC or mechanical qualifications beneficial
- Health & Safety certifications advantageous
