Senior Accounts Assistant / Accounts Manager – Malvern (office based) Salary: Up to £33,000 (depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm Start Date: Immediate start available Red Rock are working on behalf of a well-established and reputable organisation based in Malvern, who are seeking a hands-on Accounts Manager to join their friendly finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid accounting experience who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being part of a supportive, close-knit environment. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee the day-to-day running of the finance department (managing 1 Accounts Assistant) * Handle accounts up to trial balance * Take ownership of VAT returns, payroll (up to 80 staff), and related submissions * Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants * Maintain financial schedules, bank reconciliations, and payment runs * Ensure compliance with HMRC and pension requirements * Provide guidance and support to the accounts assistant Requirements: * Proven experience with VAT, payroll, and accounts to trial balance * Experience using Xero and BrightPay is advantageous * No formal qualification required – practical experience preferred * Must hold a current DBS, or be willing for one to be arranged (cost deducted from first pay) Benefits: * Salary up to £33,000 per annum * 30 days holiday (option to book off bank holidays and Christmas) * Free use of on-site gym and swimming pool * Free daily lunch from the canteen (in exchange for a reduced lunch break) * Friendly, supportive working environment in a beautiful countryside setting If you’re an experienced Accounts professional looking for a stable, rewarding role with genuine work-life balance, we’d love to hear from you
