Red Rock Consultants are currently partnering with a leading builders’ merchants, who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to work closely with their Accounts Manager. This is a fully office-based role, working Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm. The successful candidate will also be required to work one Saturday morning per month, paid as overtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Cash forecasting and monitoring company cash flow
- Completing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Processing purchase ledger invoices and supplier payments
- Making credit control calls and chasing overdue payments
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Supporting the Accounts Manager with day-to-day finance duties
Requirements
The right candidate will have previous experience working within a fast-paced finance department, with exposure to purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, and supporting the preparation of management accounts. You will also be AAT qualified or currently working towards an AAT qualification. Study support is available for the right candidate.
