Position: Quantity Surveyor – Healthcare Sector
Location: Ballymena
Employment Type: Full-Time (39 hours/week)
Salary: Β£45,000 – Β£50,000 per annum

Overview:
A leading healthcare construction company is seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of high-quality healthcare infrastructure projects. This role involves managing project costs, preparing accurate estimates, and ensuring commercial compliance throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong construction background and experience working within complex healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities:
β€’ Prepare and review cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation
β€’ Monitor project budgets, forecast costs, and manage variations
β€’ Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure financial control
β€’ Assess subcontractor and supplier quotations, negotiating where appropriate
β€’ Produce regular cost reports and maintain accurate records of expenditure
β€’ Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and industry standards
β€’ Support project delivery within live healthcare settings, ensuring minimal disruption

Essential Qualifications:
β€’ Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
β€’ Proven experience in construction project cost management
β€’ Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes
β€’ Proficient in cost management software and Microsoft Office β€’ Prevous experince as a quantity surveyor.

Desirable Experience:
β€’ Previous experience in healthcare construction projects
β€’ Knowledge of NHS or similar healthcare compliance standards
β€’ Experience with risk management and value engineering in construction projects
β€’ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
