We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee an upcoming asbestos ground remediation project in Newcastle. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with all relevant health, safety and asbestos regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day running of the remediation site
- Supervising site operatives and subcontractors
- Ensuring works are completed safely and to the required standards
- Monitoring progress and coordinating site activities
- Maintaining site records and documentation
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures
- Liaising with the project management team and other contractors
- Identifying and addressing any site issues promptly
Essential Requirements:
- SMSTS
- First Aid
- Asbestos Awareness
- Earthworks and ground remediation background
- Previous Site Management experience
- Experience working on remediation, asbestos or similar construction projects is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of site health & safety requirements
- Good communication and organisational skills
