We are seeking an experienced and qualified HVAC Engineer to join our team, servicing and installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems across a range of medical and healthcare facilities throughout London. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring critical environments maintain optimal air quality, temperature control, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, split systems, and VRV/VRF units.
- Carry out routine servicing and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure system reliability and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Respond promptly to reactive breakdowns and emergency repairs.
- Work closely with medical facility staff to minimise disruption during works and maintain cleanroom and infection control standards.
- Complete job documentation accurately, including service reports and compliance records.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HVAC regulations, particularly those relevant to healthcare settings (HTM, CIBSE, SFG20, etc.).
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar HVAC engineer role.
- Relevant HVAC qualifications including:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heating and Ventilation, or equivalent
- F-Gas Category 1 Certification (essential)
- City & Guilds 2079 or equivalent
Desirable:
- Experience working in NHS or private medical facilities.
- Knowledge of BMS systems.
- Additional qualifications (e.g., PASMA, IPAF, Asbestos Awareness, etc.).
