Job Title: Service Engineer – Central Heating Systems Location: Various locations (flexible within service area) About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Service Engineer to join our team, specializing in installing, servicing, and maintaining central heating systems in residential properties. The role involves working with gas boilers and heating controls to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality heating solutions. Key Responsibilities: * Install and commission high-efficiency gas boilers and central heating systems following industry and manufacturer standards. * Perform servicing and maintenance to optimize system performance and safety compliance. * Diagnose and repair faults in heating systems with effective, timely solutions. * Advise customers on energy-saving measures and benefits of upgrading heating technology. * Ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations and company policies. * Maintain accurate records of service and repair work completed. * Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally. * Participate in ongoing training to keep up-to-date with industry advancements. Qualifications and Experience: * Valid Gas Safe Registration (or equivalent certification) for working with gas appliances. * NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent qualification. * City & Guilds Certification in Gas Installation and Maintenance. * Proven experience installing, servicing, and repairing gas boilers and heating systems. * Good knowledge of heating controls including smart thermostats. * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. * Valid driving licence. * Good communication and customer service skills. Desirable Skills: * Experience with multiple boiler brands and heating systems. * Knowledge of energy efficiency best practices. * Experience working on heating systems in home extensions or renovations. Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
