Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established MEP contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the delivery of mechanical installation works across a range of projects. This is a site-based role where you will play a key part in ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards. The position offers the opportunity to work on varied commercial and residential projects within a supportive and growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation works on site
- Manage and oversee subcontractors and direct labour
- Ensure works are delivered in line with programme and specifications
- Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with regulations
- Carry out site inspections and progress reporting
- Work closely with Project Managers and site teams
- Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with planning, materials coordination and logistics
- Attend site meetings and provide technical input
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Mechanical Supervisor within the MEP / Building Services sector
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, pipework and plant
- Experience managing site teams on live construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Proactive approach with strong problem-solving ability
- SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
Qualifications
- Relevant mechanical or building services qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
- CSCS Card
- SMSTS / SSSTS (preferred)
- First Aid (desirable)
