We\’re looking for enthusiastic and experienced van/3.5T Drivers to join our client\’s busy and growing international removals team in Exeter.
Having a full UK driving licence and physical strength is vital for this role.
As a Removals 3.5T Driver, you will be responsible for driving, moving, and handling customers\’ household and personal possessions.
Removals 3.5T Driver duties include:
- Shadowing current drivers initially to gain knowledge of the role and routes and to build confidence.
- Interacting and communicating effectively with customers and colleagues during the movement of goods across the UK and Europe.
- Assisting in the moving and handling of customer goods, including driving to and from locations over long and short distances across the UK and Europe.
- Packing and wrapping customer goods and manually lifting (aided and unaided) onto vehicles or into locations.
- Completing necessary on-the-job paperwork to a high standard.
- Undertaking daily vehicle and safety checks, routine maintenance (e.g., oil and water checks), and reporting any defects.
- Following H&S guidelines and carrying out Banks-person duties.
- Undertaking regular training as required.
We\’re keen to speak with reliable drivers who hold the necessary HGV 2 / Category C licence, along with customer care, packing/unpacking, loading/unloading, and problem-solving skills. Previous warehouse or forklift experience would be an advantage.
In return, the successful Removals 3.5T Driver will be offered up to £34,000, depending on skills and experience.
