About the Role
Our client, a well-established and growing international logistics provider, is seeking an ambitious and motivated Sales Executive to join their team based in Redditch. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional to develop their career within the freight forwarding and logistics sector or for someone from an operational background looking to move into sales.
What you'll do
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking and client engagement
- Manage and develop existing customer accounts
- Build and maintain strong long-term customer relationships
- Source competitive rates across air freight, road freight and sea freight services
- Prepare, present and follow up tailored quotations
- Convert opportunities into new business and trial bookings
- Attend client meetings both on-site and off-site when required
- Work closely with sales and operations teams to ensure excellent customer service delivery
- Support internal departments with client communications as required
- Maintain an organised sales pipeline and accurate records
What you need
- Proven B2B sales or telesales experience or for someone from an operational background looking to move into sales
- Freight forwarding or logistics experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly motivated with proactive approach to winning new business
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Positive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
