About the Job
Our client is a specialist Fine Art logistics company serving museums and galleries based in London. We are currently assisting them in appointing an experienced Fine Art Warehouse Technician.
As Fine Art Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for handling and packing fragile, valuable and unique art pieces.
We\’re keen to speak to removals / logistics professionals, who are skilled at wrapping / packing sensitive and valuable furniture works of art and antiques.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential in this client facing role, as is a professional appearance and demeanour.
Being physically fit and having the ability to work comfortably on ladders scaffolding or mechanized lifts is essential for this role.
The company is offering a salary up to £30,000, in line with skills and experience.
What you’ll be doing:
- Handling and packing of various @types of fine art and securing in truck for safe transport
- Installation/de-installation of fine art and furniture
- Picking up and delivering a variety of artworks including paintings sculptures and high value furniture of all descriptions Inspecting artworks to determine how where when or if to touch them and how to pack for transport
- Understand how to properly wrap, load, span and tie in artworks within a truck to keep them safe and stable during transport
- Installing artworks professionally in settings ranging from corporate to residential properties
- Preparing condition reports and photographs artworks as needed
- Interacting with art professionals and collectors
- Efficiently handling paperwork including bills of lading labelling timesheets and detailed condition reports with photos
- Communicating with operations team throughout the day
