About the Role
Our client, a well-established logistics and transport provider, is seeking a Warehouse & Airside Driving Operative to join their night operations team based in Gatwick. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation specialising in time‑critical logistics and airside support services. The successful candidate will be involved in both warehouse operations and delivery activities, ensuring customer requirements are met efficiently whilst maintaining the highest levels of aviation security and operational compliance.
What you’ll do:
- Ensure all aviation security procedures and compliance requirements are followed at all times.
- Carry out collections and deliveries in line with customer and operational requirements.
- Load, unload and secure freight safely and efficiently.
- Complete warehouse duties including handling, sorting and preparing shipments.
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate updates to the operations team.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained in a clean and road‑worthy condition.
- Deliver excellent customer service during all customer interactions.
What you need:
- Full UK Driving Licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
- Class 2 Licence preferred, although candidates willing to progress to Class 2 will also be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years’ driving experience.
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to provide a full 5‑year checkable employment history.
- Must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible to work within secure airside environments.
