Red Recruitment is recruiting a Schemes Account Handler in Bristol City Centre to join our client, one of the South West's largest independent insurance brokers. The salary for this position is up to £36,000 per annum.

Your main objectives will be to service the company's insurance schemes in a timely, professional and cost-effective manner.

Benefits and Package for a Schemes Account Handler:

  • Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Location: Bristol City Centre (Near Temple Meads)
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Hybrid working options available after the 6-month probation period (3 days in the office, 2 days at home)
  • 23 days holiday + bank holidays

Key Responsibilities of a Schemes Account Handler:

  • Supporting the activities of Schemes Executives and/or Directors regarding your allocated clients and new business, including broking, day-to-day queries, report writing and client administration
  • Ensuring instructions are processed, recorded and confirmed in a timely and efficient manner and the Company diary system is maintained
  • Helping to identify cross-selling opportunities and potential gaps in client cover
  • Complying with relevant regulatory requirements and the company's procedures
  • Maintaining good working relationships with clients, colleagues, managing agents, insurers and other suppliers

Key Skills and Experience of a Schemes Account Handler:

  • You should be holding or working towards a minimum of Cert CII
  • You should have an understanding of the main classes of business insurance
  • Previous experience working within the insurance industry is preferred
  • You will be expected to negotiate and communicate effectively with insurers and clients
  • 1-3 years broking experience of property business or household broking will be considered
