Senior Clinical Case Manager Red Recruitment is recruiting a Senior Clinical Case Manager to join a long-established, successful and growing medical insurer in Taunton. Supporting colleagues and customers by handling front-line escalated medical queries and managing complex, challenging cases. Liaising with healthcare professionals by phone and email to obtain all necessary information for complex medical claims. Reviewing escalated complaints and recommending improvements to the healthcare offering. Managing complex cases and continuously seeking ways to improve service and support. Being part of the customer pathway, proactively reviewing eligibility for customers to use their health policy in line with coverage. Signposting where required to enable access to other eligible services. Using clinical skills to make informed decisions on highly complex treatment eligibility (e.g., levels of care, hospital length of stay, treatment options). Working proactively with providers to ensure care is appropriate and eligible under the customer’s policy. Carrying out medical research to support claim decisions and ensuring current, accurate evidence informs claims advice. Key Skills and Experience Clinical background or healthcare experience required. Understanding of common medical terminology. Passion for providing excellent customer service and helping those with medical needs. Cert CII qualification within probation and CPD maintained per CII requirements (if not a medical qualification, must be completed). Excellent change‑management, problem‑solving and organisational skills.
