Responsibilities
- Book all vehicles on and off site, capture all required information and input into the relevant systems
- Liaise with Warehouse Team to ensure all vehicles are directed to the correct place
- Ensure all receipt and despatch documents are scanned on to the system
- Scan and file all completed load sheet summaries
- Notify the Transport department of any vehicle defects raised by drivers and updated systems as required
- Check and scan all POD documents, record any discrepancies and update systems as required
- Welcome visitors on to site, ensure visitor passes have been filled in correctly and that the visitor has been briefed on Health & Safety requirements
- Ensure barriers are controlled at all time
- Monitor, process and respond to email requests in a timely manner
- Prepare and issue delivery notes, ensure all stock is correctly scanned on the system and that any additional delivery documentation (CMR’s, customs paperwork etc.) is processed accordingly
- Ensure all systems are updated when vehicles depart site
- Process bookings from customers and hauliers, ensure that the given booking is in line with warehouse requirements and company planning rules
- Ensure all driver timesheets are filed correctly
- Provide an effective handover to the management team and other operational departments
- If applicable, update driver night work and react to any changes in transport activity, co-ordinate drivers and handle any issues from delivery points or customers
- Carry out all reasonable instructions as requested by a member of the Control Centre Management Team
