Red Recruitment is recruiting a Claims Handler to join a growing team in Bristol, providing claims management services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous claims handling experience and strong technical knowledge to join a supportive and collaborative team.

- Manage a caseload of professional indemnity claims from initial notification through to resolution
- Review policy coverage, investigate claims and assess their merits and potential value
- Support insured professionals in responding appropriately to complaints and claims
- Negotiate settlements within delegated authority limits, ensuring fair and commercially sound outcomes
- Proactively manage claims to avoid unnecessary litigation and control costs
- Maintain accurate and complete records on the electronic case management system
- Prepare reports for insurers and support monthly and ad hoc reporting requirements
- Meet internal and insurer service standards, KPIs and quality assurance requirements
- Apply insurers' reserving policies and identify trends or risks requiring escalation
- Build effective relationships with insurers, insured professionals and external suppliers
- Previous claims handling experience with a strong grounding in technical claims knowledge
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines
- A proactive and commercially aware approach to resolving claims
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining xgikmsk accurate records
- Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team
