A well-established manufacturing client is currently seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join their skilled production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in CNC machinery and metal fabrication who takes pride in precision and quality.
The Role
You will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brake machinery to produce high-quality metal components in line with technical drawings and specifications. This role requires both technical ability and attention to detail, working independently as well as part of a wider production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines
- Create and adjust programmes for a variety of materials, thicknesses, and profiles
- Read and interpret technical/CAD drawings
- Select and install tooling, adjusting machine settings for optimal performance
- Carry out first-off and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Use measuring equipment such as verniers and gauges
- Perform routine maintenance and daily safety checks
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Work flexibly across other machinery (e.g. punch press, laser, guillotine) where trained
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience operating press brake machinery
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Valid FLT counterbalance licence
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work on your own initiative
- A flexible approach and willingness to support wider production operations
Working Environment
Fast-paced manufacturing setting. Physically active role involving manual handling and long periods of standing. Exposure to noise and industrial machinery (PPE provided).
Hours
Monday to Thursday: 06:00 - 14:00
Friday: 06:00 - 12:00
Overtime available (optional, depending on business needs)
