Accounts Assistant - Permanent Location: Worcester (Office Based) Salary: Up to £29,000 We are working with an established and growing business that is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working across different areas of finance, has strong attention to detail and is confident managing their own workload.
The Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will support a range of finance and commercial activities, including: Chasing customer debt via email and telephone when required Releasing customer orders Raising customer and supplier credit notes Processing purchase and service invoices Managing customer returns and ensuring credits are raised correctly Processing sales rebates Checking supplier returns have been actioned Reviewing courier deliveries and investigating any queries Checking courier invoices against internal reports Supporting the management of company credit cards Working closely with sales, warehouse, supply chain and other internal teams About You We are looking for someone who is: Experienced within an accounts or finance environment Highly accurate with excellent attention to detail Confident using Microsoft Excel and computer systems Organised with the ability to prioritise and manage their own workload A strong communicator, both written and verbally Customer-focused and commercially aware Self-motivated, adaptable and willing to learn Comfortable working across multiple tasks and departments This is a great opportunity to join a well-established business in a varied Accounts Assistant position, offering exposure to credit control, purchase ledger, sales ledger, invoicing and wider finance operations.
