The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Sewing Machinist / General Operative to join the manufacturing team in Corby.
The role will involve operating industrial sewing machines to manufacture and assemble rubber and fabric-based products, alongside general production duties within the factory.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently
- Sewing and assembling materials to required specifications
- Following production instructions and drawings where required
- Checking finished products for quality and accuracy
- Cutting, preparing and handling materials
- Carrying out general production and manufacturing duties
- Maintaining a clean and organised working area
- Meeting production targets and deadlines
- Following company health & safety procedures
- Working as part of a busy production team
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience using an industrial sewing machine
- Be confident working with xiskglj different materials
- Have good attention to detail and accuracy
- Be comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
- Have a good work ethic and reliable attendance
- Be able to work to production targets
- Have a flexible approach and be willing to undertake general production duties
- Work well both independently and as part of a team
