Red Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Industrial Sewing Machinist on a temporary to permanent basis, based in the Redditch area. This will be a 12 week temporary period with the potential of going into a permanent placement.
Duties:
- Operate various industrial sewing machines to assemble and finish products according to specifications.
- Ensure consistent quality by monitoring stitches, tension, and overall machine performance.
- Follow detailed work instructions and production schedules to meet deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory management by organising materials and supplies in the warehouse.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor technical issues.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve production processes.
Experience needed:
- Proven experience in sewing, preferably with industrial sewing machines.
- Warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.
