The PVC Fabrication Operator is responsible for manufacturing PVC components and products by cutting, forming, welding, and assembling plastic materials to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, machine, and shape PVC sheets, pipes, and profiles using hand tools and machinery
- Carry out heat bending, forming, and solvent or hot-air welding of PVC materials
- Assemble fabricated components to drawings or job instructions
- Read and work from technical drawings, measurements, and specifications
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
- Operate workshop equipment safely (saws, routers, drills, welding tools, CNC if applicable)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Follow health & safety procedures at all times
- Report faults, defects, or material issues to supervisors
- Support general workshop duties as required
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in PVC fabrication, plastic fabrication, or a similar manufacturing role
- Confident using hand tools and workshop machinery
- Experience with solvent welding or plastic welding (preferred, not always essential)
- Ability to read technical drawings and measure accurately
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Strong manual handling and practical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
