Red Recruitment are recruiting for a Storeman with Forklift Operator CB experience to join our client dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring incoming and outgoing stock by performing regular stock checks, as well as many other ad hoc duties.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process stock products (unload, check for non-conformances, label, store)
  • Report any issues, malfunctions or defective parts and keep them in quarantine
  • Undertake site inspections and any other checks as required by the Health and Safety advisor
  • Perform regular stock checks in the main store and service engineers’ vans as directed
  • Pick and pack orders for delivery & production, according to the process in place
  • Place orders for general consumables
  • Arrange the calibration/inspection of tools and safety equipment as directed
  • Facilitate any vehicle & parts movements between sites
  • Any other duties as required
  • Ensure Production Consumables are stocked up
  • Ensure Kits for production are produced in time
  • Safely operate forklift trucks to load, unload, and transport materials across the warehouse
  • Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
  • Handle materials efficiently, including stacking, organising, and storing items in designated locations
  • Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues promptly
  • Support warehouse activities by performing manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when required
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • Previous warehouse experience, including familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures
  • Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems used
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to handle materials safely, including heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
  • Current forklift license counterbalance is beneficial, but not essential
  • Basic maths skills for accurate counting, measuring, and record keeping
  • Good communication skills to collaborate effectively within the team

Working hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:30-16:30 and Friday 07:30-13:30

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
