Red Recruitment Group are recruiting for a Production Area Supervisor on behalf of a leading precision engineering and metal stamping manufacturer based in Redditch. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing Team Leader or Supervisor to join a growing business supplying safety-critical components to the aerospace, automotive, defence and medical sectors.

The Role

You'll be responsible for leading a team of setters and operators within a busy press shop environment, ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety requirements are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising and motivating production teams
  • Delivering output, quality and OEE targets
  • Coordinating tool changes and production schedules
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives including 5S and SMED
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety and quality standards
  • Managing performance, training and development within your team

The Candidate

  • Previous supervisory experience within manufacturing, metal stamping, press shop or similar production environments
  • Strong understanding of production KPIs, quality and continuous improvement
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Confident communicator with a hands-on management style
  • Knowledge of power presses and tooling processes would be highly advantageous
