Overview
We are recruiting for a Procurement Officer to join a manufacturing business in Kettering. The role is responsible for managing day-to-day purchasing activity, ensuring materials and services are sourced cost-effectively, delivered on time, and meet required quality standards. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will play a key role in supplier management, cost control, and supporting production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily procurement of materials, components, and services
- Develop and maintain relationships with a global supplier base
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve quality/supply issues
- Identify and onboard new suppliers
- Support production planning through material availability
- Track deliveries and manage supply risks
- Analyse procurement data and improve processes
- Report on procurement KPIs and cost performance
About You
- Procurement/purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Good understanding of supply chain and procurement processes
- Highly organised with strong communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems

- CIPS qualified or studying
