Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our client\’s team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our warehouse by ensuring the accurate handling of goods, maintaining inventory, and supporting various warehouse activities. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all goods are accurately logged into the system.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Execute basic maths calculations for inventory management and order fulfilment.
- Assist in equipment repair and maintenance as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
- Load and unload materials from lorries, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
- Maintain organization within the warehouse, including proper storage of materials and products.
- Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and locations.
- Handle heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
- Valid forklift certification is desirable; training may be provided for suitable candidates.
- Strong basic math\’s skills for inventory management tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle materials safely.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
Shift Pattern
- Monday To Friday
- 14.00pm – 22.00pm or 08.00am-16.00pm available.
- Overtime rate paid after 37.5hrs worked.
