Red Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer based in Redditch.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business, working on a wide range of production machinery and playing a key role in keeping manufacturing operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Responding to machine breakdowns and carrying out fault finding
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical and pneumatic faults
- Maintaining production machinery and site equipment
- Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
- Completing maintenance records accurately
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety procedures
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
Requirements
- Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship or equivalent)
- Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Good mechanical knowledge
- Experience with PLCs, motors, drives and production machinery
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Desirable
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience maintaining power presses or heavy manufacturing equipment
- Hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance experience
