Red Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer based in Redditch.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business, working on a wide range of production machinery and playing a key role in keeping manufacturing operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Responding to machine breakdowns and carrying out fault finding
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical and pneumatic faults
  • Maintaining production machinery and site equipment
  • Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
  • Completing maintenance records accurately
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety procedures
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site

Requirements

  • Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship or equivalent)
  • Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills
  • Good mechanical knowledge
  • Experience with PLCs, motors, drives and production machinery
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Desirable

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Experience maintaining power presses or heavy manufacturing equipment
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance experience
