Red Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Storeman / Stores Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Corby. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse or stores experience to join a growing company supporting production and engineering teams.
The Role
The Storeman will be responsible for managing stock and materials required for production and service operations. The role involves maintaining accurate stock levels, supporting production requirements and ensuring parts are correctly stored and distributed.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and processing incoming stock and materials
- Checking goods for accuracy and reporting any damaged or defective items
- Storing and organising parts within the warehouse or stores area
- Carrying out regular stock checks and inventory control
- Picking and packing parts for production and service teams
- Ensuring production consumables are available when required
- Preparing kits for production in line with build schedules
- Assisting with movement of parts between sites when required
- Arranging calibration or inspection of tools and equipment when required
- Maintaining a clean and organised stores environment
- Supporting general warehouse duties when needed
Experience & Skills Required
- Previous experience working within a warehouse or stores environment
- Experience with stock control or inventory systems
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to lift and move materials when required
Desirable:
- Forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach)
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or production environments
