Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Oversee the preparation and review of statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with SME and high-net-worth clients.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and tax legislation.
- Provide strategic financial advice and business insight to clients.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies, and service delivery.
- Support the firm's growth objectives and contribute to wider business strategy.
- Review work completed by team members, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are maintained.
About You
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Previous experience managing or leading a team.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially aware with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
Desirable Experience
- Experience operating in a senior leadership or partner-track position.
- Business development and client acquisition experience.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based accounting systems and digital accounting solutions.
