Red Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Toolroom Technician to join a busy manufacturing business based in the B64 area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual to join an established team, working within a busy toolroom environment and producing precision tooling for manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Machining cutters ready for use on production machinery
  • Assembling cutter blocks
  • Producing bespoke cutters from plans and engineering drawings
  • Using workshop machinery and tooling equipment
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to the required standard
  • Carrying out quality checks on finished tooling
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
  • Supporting the wider production and toolroom teams as required

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a toolroom, engineering, machining or similar technical role is advantageous
  • Experience working from engineering drawings and plans
  • Good attention to detail and a thorough approach to work
  • Strong practical and mechanical aptitude
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Positive and reliable attitude
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
