Our client is a leading agricultural business specialising in the breeding and rearing of pigs to the highest RSPCA Assured standards. As part of Cranswick PLC group, one of the UK's largest and most successful food businesses, Wold Farms offers employees the opportunity to work within an innovative, industry leading and sustainable farming environment.
This position will be working within the existing team ensuring smooth running of pig health, welfare & movements across the farming business.
What You’ll Do:
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with our contract growers and finishers.
- Assisting with stock movements and advising on pig selection for slaughter ensuring they meet the target weight and quality.
- Ensuring the day-to-day health of livestock is in line with RSPCA assurance standards and Company policy, advising when required.
- Communication with the production team on a regular basis to ensure smooth running of all operations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with handling livestock and a keen interest in the pig industry and animal welfare is essential for this role.
- Ability to prioritise and complete tasks fully with strong attention to detail is a must.
- The ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
- You must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to exceed expectations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Full UK Driving licence as travel between our farm locations is required.
