We are seeking an organised and technically skilled LEV Test & Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role combines hands-on Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) testing and planned preventative maintenance with the administrative and organisational skills needed to ensure spare parts, reports, and maintenance schedules are effectively managed. The position involves regular UK travel to client sites, with flexible hybrid working between home and our offices in Worksop.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and testing of LEV systems in line with COSHH Regulation 9 and HSG258 standards.
- Produce clear, accurate, and detailed LEV reports for clients, highlighting compliance status and recommended actions.
- Carry out routine service visits, inspections, and maintenance on dust and fume extraction systems.
- Identify faults and perform corrective repairs or arrange further works where required.
- Organise and manage spare parts to ensure availability for planned maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate ordering and delivery of stock spare parts and consumables.
- Liaise with clients to provide professional technical support and advice.
- Produce quotations for remedial works based on your highlighted recommendations.
About You
- You will have a passion for Engineering and a 'can do' attitude.
- Proven experience in LEV testing and mechanical maintenance (ideally within the dust and fume extraction industry).
- P601 Qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to produce professional, detailed reports (MS Word preferred).
- Good understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities.
- Strong organisational skills with experience managing own schedule.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel regularly and stay away when required.
Schedule
Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). Due to the nature of the role some weekend work will be necessary.
