We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background, with the ability to maintain and troubleshoot various systems within our facility. This role requires excellent leadership skills and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery and equipment operate efficiently, adhering to safety standards while minimising downtime. The hours of work are 4 days on / off followed by 4 nights on / off 12 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures, utilising schematics and logic controllers for diagnostics.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs and improve operational efficiency.
  • Conduct inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
  • Implement preventative maintenance programmes to extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • Assist in welding tasks as required, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or queries related to maintenance activities.

Qualifications

  • Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in electrical systems preferred.
  • Strong understanding of schematics and logic controllers.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
