We are looking for a qualified and experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our dynamic team based on the outskirts of Lincoln. You will be site based working Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.
The role:
- Maintain equipment to optimal standards. Ensure all machinery and equipment are kept in peak condition, and document through diligent planned preventive maintenance (PPM) systems.
- Swiftly address faults and breakdowns and respond to production requests. Employ fault-finding techniques to promptly resolve issues and provide engineering assistance, communicating effectively with affected parties, and work efficiently to rectify problems.
- Minimize breakdowns and seek improvements. Keep equipment in good working order, identify opportunities to reduce downtime costs, and upkeep planned maintenance program.
- Plan for machinery downtime. Coordinate with production teams to schedule service, modifications, or necessary repairs.
- Manage spare parts inventory. Maintain stock of essential spare parts where practicable and procure parts for service and repair work.
- Follow ISO (quality and safety) standards and ensure safe and efficient work practices. Perform tasks in compliance with health and safety regulations, whilst adhering to quality management systems, retailer specific standards or other set procedures.
- Assist with new equipment installation. Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Enhance production team knowledge. Collaborate with production teams to improve their understanding of equipment and problem-solving skills.
- Stay updated with technical knowledge. Participate in workshops, review professional publications and benchmark best practices.
- Complete additional tasks as needed. Undertake other duties as reasonably requested.
The Person:
- Formal Multi-Skilled Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering or (Minimum of) Level 3 Electrical Engineering with an adequate competence mechanical qualification.
- Ideally, 3 years minimum experience in a manufacturing role.
- Have own transport to get to site.
- Have experience in PPM systems.
- Eye for detail, fault finding skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Be able to demonstrate adhering to safe work practices and systems of work.
- Be able to build relationships with internal teams.
