Location: London Gateway
Our client, a specialist in the servicing and repair of commercial fitness equipment, is looking for a Technical Parts Coordinator to support their field engineering team.
What you'll do:
Acting as the link between engineers, the warehouse and the equipment manufacturer, you will ensure repair orders are accurately assessed, parts are available and engineers have everything they need for their daily appointments.
This is a mainly office-based role with regular hands-on warehouse duties, offering a varied opportunity for someone with technical knowledge, strong organisational skills and experience in parts or service coordination.
Technical Parts Coordinator duties include:
- Assessing repair orders, identifying the parts required and preparing accurate parts estimates.
- Liaising with the manufacturer to clarify fault descriptions, obtain photographs and resolve queries.
- Reviewing orders following engineers' visits, adding further parts and checking updated part numbers.
- Uploading parts lists, ordering items unavailable from stock and maintaining accurate system records.
- Creating daily engineer shipments and picking parts into allocated cages ready for the following morning.
- Checking completed orders to ensure parts have been used or returned and the correct repair codes recorded.
- Monitoring fast-moving stock, processing goods in and resolving delivery discrepancies.
- Preparing claims for incorrectly supplied parts.
- Completing regular stock checks and supporting the annual inventory count.
- Providing clear updates to customers by tele and email.
- Supporting picking, packing and general warehouse duties as required.
What you need:
- Experience in a parts, service coordination or technical stores role.
- A good understanding of how mechanical or electrical equipment is diagnosed and repaired.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence using stock and order management systems.
- Professional communication skills and a helpful approach to customer service.
- The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet daily deadlines.
Experience with Technogym or other commercial fitness equipment, such as Life Fitness, Precor or Matrix, would be advantageous. Familiarity with Smax and WMS, a field service engineering background, warehouse experience or a forklift licence would also be beneficial.
