Our client, a rapidly expanding player in the freight forwarding industry, is looking for a motivated and experienced Sea Import Coordinator to join their dynamic team in Felixstowe. Key Responsibilities:
- Process and monitor the entire sea import shipping process from start to finish.
- Book shipments with contractors to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Prepare documentation for import clearance and arrange necessary deliveries (FCL LCL cargoes).
- Liaise with customers and consignees, maintaining strong working relationships.
- Coordinate with Customs Authorities and Port Health to complete CHED documents.
- Ensure all invoicing and purchase invoice processing is handled accurately and promptly.
- Provide regular follow-up with customers and consignees to ensure seamless service.
- Work effectively as part of a collaborative team to meet deadlines and targets.
Skills and Experience:
We are looking for candidates who have at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role and possess the following skills:
- Strong sea import shipping experience with knowledge of customs clearance processes.
- Good understanding of various customs procedures and regulations.
- Expertise in Destin8, CNS, and Multifreight systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with completing CHED and IPAFFS documents.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and a self-driven approach.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
