As a Removals HGV 2 Driver, a typical day will include taking responsibility for the company’s vehicle, ensuring the load is safely and efficiently transported from collection to delivery, and undertaking packing, loading, and unloading as required. Physical strength is vital for this role.
Removals HGV 2 duties include:
- Operate a commercial vehicle safely and reliably, taking responsibility for the vehicle and its load at all times.
- Perform daily vehicle and safety checks, routine maintenance (e.g., oil and water), report defects, and ensure the vehicle is clean and roadworthy.
- Ensure all loads comply with Road Traffic Legislation and vehicle operating limits.
- Carry out work in accordance with Safe Systems at Work procedures, Health & Safety regulations, and Quality System policies (ISO9002).
