About the Role: Our client is looking for an experienced Ocean Import Operator to join their busy Freight Forwarding team based in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with ocean import experience who is available to start quickly and is looking for a role that could become permanent.
What you'll do: Working within a fast-paced freight forwarding environment, you will be responsible for managing import shipments from origin through to final delivery, ensuring all customs, operational and customer requirements are met whilst delivering an exceptional level of service.
Duties include:
- Manage ocean import shipments from booking through to final delivery.
- Liaise with overseas offices, shipping lines, hauliers, customs brokers and customers.
- Arrange import customs clearance and ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any operational issues.
