Job Description
Our client, who provide in Warehouse, distribution and Logistics services are currently seeking a Freight Forwarder to join their team in Essex.
The role of the Freight Forwarder:
On a day-to-day basis, you'll be responsible for coordinating sea freight and European road freight shipments from start to finish. This includes liaising with carriers and clients, arranging transport, managing documentation, and ensuring smooth import/export operations.
As a Freight Forwarder, you will need to have good operational knowledge of import/export procedures and customs clearance Â
Other duties will include:
- Handling import and export documentation
- Coordinating with hauliers and shipping lines
- Liaising with customs agents to arrange clearances
- Dealing with collections and deliveries across Europe
- Communicating with customers and internal teams to provide updates and resolve queries
Requirements of the role:
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent time management skills and can thrive in a fast paced and dynamic atmosphere.Â
The successful candidate will have proven experience in freight forwarding, particularly in sea freight or European road freight.
