About the Role
Our client, a well-established Freight Forwarding and Logistics company, is currently seeking an experienced Sea Import Operations Clerk to join their busy operations team based in the Basildon area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous sea freight import experience who is looking to join a professional and supportive environment where they can further develop their operational and customs knowledge across the import process.
Main Responsibilities
- Handling sea freight import shipments from start to finish
- Preparing and processing import documentation and customs paperwork
- Coordinating deliveries and liaising with hauliers and shipping lines
- Monitoring vessel arrivals and shipment progress
- Supporting customers with shipment updates and operational queries
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth shipment handling
- Assisting with general operational and administrative duties as required
Requirements
