As a Business Development Manager, you will be a key member of our Operations team, focused on driving new business through cold calling and face-to-face visits.

You will negotiate with Air, Road, and Sea Freight suppliers to secure the best rates, allowing you to prepare and submit accurate quotations. You will also follow up on these quotations to close deals and secure trial bookings.

Your role will be to take ownership of expanding business opportunities and fostering long-term client relationships.

Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing new business opportunities.

  • Managing accounts for existing clients.

  • Cultivating and maintaining client relationships to maximize business growth.

  • Negotiating with AIR, ROAD, and SEA freight providers to secure competitive rates.

  • Preparing and submitting quotations.

  • Following up on quotations to finalize and secure trial bookings.

  • Visiting both new and existing clients (approximately one day per week).

  • Collaborating internally with the sales team to assist with quotations and service details.

  • Coordinating with the Operations team to relay necessary client instructions and information.

  • Demonstrated experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) sales.

  • Experience in the freight industry is beneficial but not required.

  • Skilled in cold calling.

  • Strong background in customer service.

  • Effective communicator with confidence.

  • Well-organized with strong time management skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.

  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.

  • Quick thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Highly self-motivated and enthusiastic.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively and support a team.
