On behalf of our International Freight Forwarding client, we're looking to appoint an experienced Key Account Coordinator, focusing on Seafreight imports. This is a key role that combines deep sea import coordination, customs entry responsibility, food import compliance, customer reporting, invoicing support and document management.

What you'll do:

  • Take ownership of the account's day-to-day back-office and account support activities.
  • Provide operational cover for the Account Supervisor during periods of absence or annual leave.
  • Liaise with clients, shipping lines and overseas offices/agents.
  • Coordinate imports/exports for sea freight consignments.
  • Record and prepare documentation and invoicing.

Duties include:

  • Account Administration and Shipment Coordination
  • Customs and Regulatory Compliance
  • Customer Reporting, Financial Control and Billing
  • Operational Cover and Business Continuity
  • Systems SOPs and General Support

What you need:

The position is ideally suited to an organised, customer-focused individual with strong import and customs experience who enjoys working within a structured and process-driven environment.

Skills & Qualifications required:

  • Experience of deep-sea import freight forwarding.
  • Practical experience of completing and controlling UK import customs declarations.
  • A high level of accuracy when reviewing and processing shipment and customs documentation.
  • Confident and professional customer communication.
  • Ability to manage several live shipments and competing deadlines.
  • Competent spreadsheet and reporting skills.
  • Ability to identify, question and escalate incomplete or inconsistent information.
