On a daily basis, you will be liaising with customers via email and telephone, as well as communicating with customs and port authorities. Key responsibilities of the Air Import Customs Clerk : Ensure all documents that are received for Customs purposes are accurate. Submitting customs entries with the use of ASM Sequoia (in line with HMRC legislation) Deal with queries quickly – responding to all emails within 24 hours of receipt. Deal with Customs amendments / reclaims. The successful Air Import Customs Clerk will have 2+ years’ experience working in Air Import Customs Clearance, and good knowledge of CHIEF, CNS and Destin8. You must have good IT and systems skills, especially with Excel. We are keen to speak with candidates who have the ability to build / maintain excellent working relationships – both internally and externally. Experience required: Good understanding of incoterms Experience working on numerous operating systems. Have an understanding of different Customs processes i.e., IP, returned goods, Homeuse.
