Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding
Salary: Up to A£50,000 + Commission + Car

On behalf of our logistics solutions client, we are looking to appoint an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join their growing team focusing on selling import sea-freight services.
What you’ll do:
- Identify and secure new business.
- Promote our import sea freight services to prospective clients.
- Engage with potential clients via in-person meetings, phone calls, and networking events.
- Develop tailored presentations and proposals clients.
- Manage your own sales appointments and maintain a structured schedule.
- Attend sales meetings and provide regular sales performance reports.
- Create visit reports using the company CRM system.
- Achieve key performance indicators relating to profit generation, sales activity and client visits.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
What you need:
We’re keen to speak to sales professionals with 3+ years of experience within the forwarding/logistics sector, specifically with a track record selling import FCL services.
- Strong knowledge of transport and worldwide logistics.
- A proactive, strategic approach to business development
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK as needed.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and phone skills.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and drive results.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
